I think this is accurate, I could be totally off base but....
I found the Hanja character for Manchu/Barbarian. It seems to be one of the few Hanja I've found so far where the 뜻 (ddeut=meaning) is also capable of being written in Hanja.
Anyway it is 오랑개 (orangkae= approx. dirty wasteful dog).
The Manchu's were noted for being bearded weren't they? I dunno?
