Just got told I have to teach a new adult class tomorrow.

Apparently they are nervous because their level is very basic, so I must prepare 'very good lesson'. Thing is, why tell me this at 9:15 the night before?

Also, when I asked if they have a book, I got ignored, so I'm assuming that there is no book.

Apparently, they want to learn 'tourist English'.

I have to teach this class at noon, so not a lot of prep time I'm afraid.

I'm drawing blanks because I'm a little wasted on alcohol and benzos, and any advice/tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated right now. Thanks.

You got to get Andrew Finch's new book, Visit Korea. His best yet and your teachers will love it! In the meantime go here http://www.finchpark.com/books/#Visit to view. His conversation questions are super and I've used them often. You can even, if desperate, blow up his pics of the book and print/use.....

But join my community and you got lots of conversation powerpoints to use with teachers. Travel, sports, etc...or just check out my resource site if in a pinch...

You may know this site. Lots of questions on various topics. Good to copy and paste the ones you think might work with the students. I've had some classes where it proved useful.

Have a screening of "Terminal" starring Tom Hanks. Tell them there are thousands of people in American airports just like that (though, without love-interests and well paying jobs). Hopefully you'll never have to teach the class again.
