Why do you say that? Is this your second time Rolling Eyes at orientation?

It could well be my second attempt at orientation.

First one they pulled my chain at the 11th hour and stopped the troups parachuting into the danger zone.

Is that some kind of coded sex talk? Are you coming on to me? wtf? Laughing

Just kidding, seriously though, I thought PS teachers get off of work for this and have big drunken parties. What's the problem?

No problem.

If it happens.

Don't want to be all geared up for attending to find that the bay doors don't open and I can't jump out.

The longer you wait to go to orientation, the worst it'll be.

Last time they had sign in sheets. What they were used for, I have no idea.

I'm quite looking forward to it now.

It's only a month and half away.

Couldn't you just ask your co-teacher to allow you to stay at school? I don't see the point in going a second time unless you need the break and want to make more contacts. Making new friends isn't such a bad thing I think.

My school would like me to be at the orientation, but I hadn't planned on leaving the States until the 10th.

Is it worth it to attend this thing?

Maybe arriving too late to attend would piss off the school?

In May, I was told that the orientation would be for 4days. This time it's for 5?

Or am I just not counting right?

Up to you....if you've never taught in Korea before, it *might* be useful though, for networking if nothing else.

The school won't be pissed off. Give an excuse. Your sister is getting married on the 8th. Can't possibly miss it since you won't be seeing her for a year.

I know there is an inbreeding joke somewhere in that.

Well.... So far it looks like we will be able to go this time ... It is not our second time going ... It is our second time trying to go ... Teachers in several towns were cancelled at the last minute for the last orientation because there were just too many people ... So we live in hope ... That they won't do it to us again ... But I think that some of us will now probably only believe it once we are actually there ...
