I bought a Wilson football (US) last night, and just for shnitzengiggles I brought it to school today. Between periods I was out in the exercise yard/assembly area/parking lot (big patch of dirt outside) throwing back and forth with my students.

After a few minutes of watching them wounded-duck the pigskin back and forth, they called one of the grade 3 boys (around 15 Korean age) over to play. He picked up the ball, did a three step drop and with near perfect form hit me between the numbers from 20 yards out with a tightly spiraled missle.

Shocked

Nope. He was pretty consistent, with a few wobblers here and there, but he definitely knew what he was doing.

I asked him where he learned how to throw, and he said, "Camp." Apparently the church he goes to has a foreign minister and during one of their summer camps he taught the kid how to throw and he just took to it.

I don't know many middle school kids in the States that can throw that well.

You should nurture that kind of talent. Keep tossing him the pigskin!

Does he have big hands? Doesn't take that long to learn, but I don't alwasy throw a perfect spiral. Anyway, I was outside linebacker during my 2 brief football stints.
