[Ya-ta Boy]

One morning years ago, during 1st period history class, I dropped the chalk while explaining something or other at the board. When I stooped down to pick up the chalk, the seat of my pants ripped. I spent the rest of the period behind my podium and with my back to the wall. It was potentially embarrassing, but not physically uncomfortable. Luckily I had 2nd period prep, so I was able to go home and change and no teenie bopper was exposed to a view of my unmentionables. I was reminded of this experience when today's events stirred up thoughts of classrooms and underwear.

This morning when I was getting dressed, I pulled out the next pair of boxer shorts (my maid does a bang up job of folding and rolling �em up so they fit very nicely in my plastic drawers, thank you very much) and noticed while shaking them out that the elastic was getting tired, but unwisely went ahead and put them on and pretty much forgot about them. (I�m not the sort to think about my underwear all that often during the day.) However, along about writing class time this afternoon, while I was going from desk to desk working with individual students, I noticed my drawers were starting to droop. Seriously droop. I tried the old �pretend to be tucking your shirt in while really making a grab for your boxers� ploy, but I was too late. They had sagged so far that they were beyond recall without me appearing out-right depraved�you can only shove your hand so far down the back of your pants in the middle of class and still maintain your reputation for coolness. A couple of desks later and they slid the final fraction down over the cheeks and beyond recall. The only thing holding them up off the floor was the crotch of my pants. It�s really uncomfortable walking around with your boxers kind of dangling down there in mid-air, more or less.

Don�t you hate it when that happens? It�s such an awkward feeling.

I've done this thing where the heel of my foot catches the crotch and I stretch it all out, snapping some threads in the seams as I put my foot down.

That sucks because your boys always hang out from the loose leg.

I have two more stories...

When I was teaching high school, Marrianne the English teacher next door once was caught trailing a few squares of tp down the aisle (she'd picked 'em up in the girls' bathroom)

Another time, she wore the same pair of pants to school on Monday that she'd worn to church on Sunday and had neglected to check inside. I think it was Teresa who said, "Hey, Mrs. D, why are your panty hose trailing out of your pant leg?"

The theme of this thread need not be underwear. It could be other misadventures while you were teaching.
