Everything is foreigner friendly.
I recommend going to Anyang Yoke (station), then walking up the street a bit to the nightlife area (when you get to the station, face the street and walk left--you'll see what I'm talking about).
This area is basically 10-11 city blocks that are nothing but bars/clubs/whatever. As for a bar, go to Irish Dream. Or if you're brave, go to MC Hip Hop.
...and if you can find Club Psycho, thats where all the foreigners are. However its not very exciting.
Enjoy |

Yes and no. Its very foreigner friendly and we usually have a great time just watching the Koreans trying to dance to rap music. |

It's shit, but can be quite amusing. The people in there are usually very friendly too.
Club Psycho is okay but usually full of losers. There are a few okay places in Beomgye, but frankly, if it's Friday or Saturday night, just f*ck it off and go into Seoul. |

I enjoyed my one time at Club Psycho. Free pool, heavy-handed drinks, and impromptu jams (they have a drum kit and amp set up). If anything it's different than the usual. |

There are no clubs in Beomgye, but all the bars are foreigner-friendly, particularly Atlanta, No. 10, Okinawa, Wa Bar and Beach Club. Though they're all a little shit. Why can't Koreans do bars properly?
And I agree with you about Psycho - that's what I mean by losers. Over-sized clods with ludicrous facial hair shouting themselves raw at each other - it's enough to make you think that al-qaeda has a point about the West. |

What the hell are you people on about, foreigner friendly? In terms of what? I've never been in a bar that hasn't served me alcohol in exchange for Korean currency. Does that make it foreigner friendly? If so, you've described every chicken HOF, makkolichip, pochangmacha, night club, whiskey bar, cocktail show bar, beer bar, soju bar and every single other freakin' bar I've been in from here to Mokpo and back five times over.
Foreigner friendly. Yeesh. |

Easy, geez. There are some bars that are more 'foreigner friendly' than others, as I'm sure you well know. Why don't you climb down off of your *beep*ing high horse there. Sometimes a man wants to drink in somewhere that isn't so Middle Earth, you know? |

"Bar 10" in Beomgye is good, thats where we usually go to sit and chat. Convenient for anyone who works in Puengchon.
...and I agree with your sentiments about Club Psycho. It reminds me why I don't like meeting "typical" foreigners... and why I don't like drinking.

You can come round my flat if you want.
We'll have some pitchers of Cass Red and shout at my noisy neighbours until we pass out.
Eggs for breakkie, and then I'll politely ask you to leave so I can masturbait. |
