If you work for a PS for the 1st two years you are tax free. One presumes that the severance pay is also tax free during this period if you collect it.

What about if you work at the same school for 2+ years. Do you still get your first two years tax free or will you be taxed on it all once you collect it?

You are only tax free legally if you fill out the required paperwork and submit it.. its not an automatic thing, and your from a qualified country to get the tax break.

As far as severance they didnt tax mine when i got it but another guy I know they taxed his. So that could be a crap shoot between the different office workers.
