|
|
Anybody know anything about portforwarding? I just signed up to tvtorrents.com today, and while my downloading speed is great, my uploading speed blows. I was told that I may need to fix my portforwarding.
I went to www.portforwarding.com, but they don't seem to have mplus (i think that's the name of my router?) on the list. And on top of it all, I'm real confused about the whole concept of portfowarding in general.
Any advice? Anybody done this in Korea before? |

What is the brand of your router - model number?
Port forwarding is easy enough.
go into network connections, and manually set an IP address and gateway routers IP
eg. your IP 192.168.111.10 router 192.168.111.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
access your routers admin panel by putting the IP address of you router into your address bar in your browser.
password and username should just be admin
There will be a tab for either firewall or NAT.
access that.
put in the IP address of your PC, and a port try 4002. select UDP and TCP if option isn't there open the same port for both UDP and TCP separately
save and restart the router.
go into your torrent client and select the port you have opened.
You are now connectable
go into your torrent program, put the port you have opened |

Ok thanks...
So I've made it as far as "Network Connections", how do I manually set IP addresses for my PC and router from there? Sorry, I'm not great with computers... |
