I have this student who has been wearing the same Jesus shirt for two weeks straight now. Everyday it's the same t-shirt. Unless he's got a closet of them back at his apartment or something.

Anyone else see this trend with students? (Not Jesus' Shirts, but the same clothes on a student all the time)

Yes, of course.

I had a student in Taiwan who wore the same darn shirt every class for 8 months. I'm not joking. I have never had a Korean student that bad, but close.

My take on the situation was that there are one or two work shirts and only 1 after work shirt. I think it's akin to the 'why do all these people on welfare drive a flashy car' thing. Well, no one sees you at home in your rat-infested dump, but you are seen in public, and want (for whatever reason) to think well of you.

Think: LACK OF MONEY

I see, lack of money would do it, But come on, how much do t-shirts cost here. W5000?

Kids get attached to certain items of clothing. When I was five I basically wore nothing but my bathing suit for an entire summer. My parents tried to explain to me that swimsuit is not proper dinnertime attire, but I would have none of it. My little brother had a t-shirt that changed colors in the sun that he wore basically every other day. It happens.

Ignore Butt Leering - he is a spanner.

I love when I get pissed or annoyed at the kids, and I say 'Jesus!' and they think I am saying 'cheese'.

That is when I show them my Winston Churchill and teach them what 'circumsized' and 'no cheese' really is.

Truth.

Back in my freshman year of college, I found six identical Charlie Brown shirts (yellow with a big black zigzag across the stomach) in the bargain box at the dollar store. I was Charlie Brwon for a year. Even wore the shirt to a friends' wedding. I ended the phase by going on a Charlie Brown pub crawl with five of my friends and letting them keep the shirts.
