| I'm thinking of getting medical insurance before I go to Korea; I'm thinking it might be good to be covered until the Korean coverage kicks in. How long does that normally take? |

Korean national health?
It kicks in immediately - the day you arrive!
The system here is that even if you don't have the card, you can claim for a refund later.
I would just get normal travel insurance - may be for a week extra and that would be it. |
