I went there last winter. You can get direct buses from Busan, Seoul, and maybe another city, but I don't remember. Lift passes and ski rentals are all really reasonable even if you don't buy a season pass. |

"Special Promotion for Foreign Resident"
What's special about it? Is it cheaper or MORE expensive than it is for Korean residents.
Do some research before diving in.
Is this company legit?
Remember, there's lots of dodginess here. |

The early buy price is 420,000W, and after that it goes up to 450,000
The SGR (silver, gold, green, red zones) price is 350,000 and up to 380,000 after October 31st.
If you pay 610,000 you can get a season pass and bus pass from Seoul. It's 640,000 after October 31st.
An all day pass will set you back 85,000.
Here are the prices: http://www.yongpyong.co.kr/eng/ski/rates01.asp |

I talked to 태희 and he was very helpful in answering in all my questions. He said that the period for a discounted rate is incorrect and that the sale ended last week, but they will still honor the price if you call them.
Right now they are only offering the seasons pass for 350,000, but they don't have a package that includes transportation with this rate.
If you want to get a package with a full pass and bus rides from Seoul, it'll cost 600,000, which you can purchase from 9/13-9/27.
I think the buses may be fairly limited, so it would be a good idea to see if you can get some other bus pass for less than the 250,000W they are charging. |

Yes you do get a discount for being a foreigner. They don't really check to see whether you're a tourist or resident, least not when I went. We took the direct shuttle from Samseong Station and everyone had 10% and 20% discounts and we had none. Then I went to buy tickets and they said, "Oh, you're a foreigner, here have 30% off." I don't know why either. |
