I am planning on purchasing the SPH-W2700. Its a Triple Band Phone. So basically has the ablility to work anywhere. Problem is the phone I hear is locked to KTF. Does anyone know of a place that will unlock cellphones so I can use it in the States. |

My phone (it's a Samsung "slide" model, dunno the number, but every third person I know has one....) has a slot for a SIMM card. Will it work when I go to Kong Kong later this month? (They sell pre-paid SIMM cards at 7-11s over there.) |

I bought SPH-W2700 last week. The phone has a KTF USIM card which resembles a SIM card of a GSM phone.
I tried with my old GSM SIM in it. The phone was able to read and recognise it (I was able to see the numbers, Messages, stored in my old SIM card).
But I am not sure if it will really work(making calls and receiving) in the GSM network. Any experts on such things may please shed light on it? |
