How long does hot red pepper paste last in the fridge? When does it go bad?

It's called gochujang, and I'd toss it after 4-6 months.

It almost never get bad.
Mine is 2 years in fridge and still no problem, I heard the salt in paste prevent getting bad.

Ok, kudos on a more convincing impersonation this time. The whole verb tense thing is magical, but there is no way in hell a korean would keep the same tube of gochujjang on ice for 2 years.
