If people are warning you about the director, then that's reason enough to pass on this one.

Very poor that. I'd keep on looking.

Neither seem to be that good. Best thing is post the contracts on the contract posting thread and get the lowdown from the people who know. But word of mouth is one of the most important factors. Best to listen.

Just checked contract posting thread. Don't feel pressured into taking a job. It's a common tactic. There's plenty of good jobs out there. These don't seem to included. You've got the quals, be a bit choosy. 2.5 is quite high as salary goes.
