This recent video of Mos Def's appearance on Bill Maher's show reminds of something you shouldn't do: listen to an interview of a musician you like, especially if they're politically inclined. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zyEIGchffs. I won't stop listening to him because he doesn't believe that Bin Laden is responsible for 9/11. Eddie Vedder, as a grown man in his 30s, voted for Nader; KRS-One cheered 9/11 (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/6559895/krsone_i_cheered_911); and Thom Yorke babbled about third-world debt in "Meeting People Is Easy." Nevertheless, I'll still listen to their music. But I wish I didn't know they think like I did when I was in my first year of university. |

Agreed.
The best music and worst political banter is the result of an overconsumption of drugs, alcohol, and women.
Your other option is to start listening to U2, country, or christian rock. |
