I've already taught in Korea for a year, and I'm just wondering if I'm setting my sites too high? I'm looking for something like this, but please just tell me if this is impossible in Korea, or doable??
1. Evening hours (1-9 or something similar)
2. More than the typical 10 days vacation a year (at least 3 weeks?)
3. M-F, no weekends.
4. Good location within Seoul (Gangam is what I want)
5. At least 2.4 million
6. BA degree (no masters) but studied Spanish and English linguistics.
You think I have a chance at something like that? |

| very possible. especially of you are over here looking in person. a bit trickier from abroad (especially at 2.4- although that is not at all unreasonable, and again, very manageable in person). |

| I had good luck at POLY Gangnam (actually in Gangdong-gu, but still a nice area). The vacation is only ten days alas, but the work conditions are great, as well as the pay. You will work hard, but you will be treated fairly. No Saturdays except one traning session. PM me for more details if this interests you (no, I am definately not a recruiter!). |

maybe gangnam is good if you want to teach rich brats and work for money grubbing whores.....
but i guess it is worth it because you can go to a 'cool' gangnam bar and get 12000 won beers
and also you can look at hot chicks who think they are upper class, who you have no chance of hooking up with unless you are making 20 mil a month |

Maybe, but anything with that Burger King in it is very ominous. Especially the ads. |

Go for a public school, or a private elementary/ middle/ high school. I'm getting 10.5 weeks vacation this year. Last year I had more. Then I was in a middle school and hated it, now in an elementary school and love it.
I know the schedule is different from what you wanted, but everything else is possible. |
