I have two beautiful cats that I need to find a home for. I am going to be away for many months in the next year and I don't want to put my cats through the stress of going to cat hotels for many months.

The picture below is of Nurse Pepper....Huch'u kanhosa in Korean. She has had a litter of kittens (an accident) and she was spayed shortly after that. She is about one year old and gray in color. She's really playful and doesn't mind being held on someone's shoulder for a short time. Her favorite toy is a metal/plastic bread bag tie. She has had six kittens and has been spayed. She is very healthy and personable.

The next pictures are of Boo. I got her from another ESL member who had to leave the country about a year ago. She has no tail and I took her in from another person off Dave's ESL cafe. I'm not sure of her age. My guess is around three years old. She is also spayed. When I first got Boo, it took her a while to warm up to me. However, now, she's almost everyone's favorite. She craves attention and loves sitting in people's laps and sleeping near me at all times.

Both Huch'u and Boo are litter trained. They are great friends and I hope I can find a wonderful home for them!

For serious inquiries please call me at 010-5543-4059 or email me at [email protected]. Please don't turn this into a post about how irresponsible I am. Honestly I would keep them but I just won't be around enough anymore to give them the attention I used to be able to give.

Thank you,

Anne-Marie Kidd[/img]

Hi there,
I you are to be gone a lot next year, you could always get a pet sitter! If you always have the same one, it is not as stressful.

If you go on the Animal Lovers in Korea Yahoo group, there is a link for pet sitters. It works very well!

It is an alternative if being away is the only issue. Good luck!

digital cameras are fairly ubiquitous nowadays, and i guarantee that you'll have more luck finding homes for your kitty kats if you post pix of them here in the forum ... here's a tutorial for posting pix:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=83798

another site you might want to try is www.youloveit.com ... it's a classifieds site and there are quite a few people who use it. just to keep your options open.

good luck! Smile

They are indeed beautiful cats!

The one on the left in the top two pictures is a blue-cream, the one on the right is a tortoiseshell.

A blue-cream is always a girl, and has a mix of grayish-blue fur and tan-cream fur.

The tortoiseshell has a mix of three colors, as seen. Here's Merriam-Webster's:

"a usually female domestic cat having a black, red, and cream or white blotched coat often with a white blaze on the face."

I have generally recommended people get two kittens at the same time. It is wonderful watching a good friendship between cats.

If you have an adult female it can be hard to introduce a new cat or kitten without the first one getting jealous. So having two grown females that are good friends is a good thing.

Very pretty cats. They should be a joy to own!

Good luck!

They get along wonderfully. When I'm away for a day they keep each other company. I introduced the kitten to the adult cat. Atfirst they didn't get along...for maybe a week. But shortly after, I caught Boo cleaning Hoochoo and they've been friends ever since!

What are you going to do with the cat house/structure...does that go with the fuzzies? or would you consider selling that? I have 2 cats and can't take 2 more but I'm moving to a new apartment...and if I have room for it I'm interested in the structure.

Some people prefer adopting kittens. They are a lot of fun. But I have found that these Korean kittens can sometimes be hard to control. Trying to raise my wild Korean kitten brings to mind what it must have been like to raise the first domesticated kittens 10,000 years ago. An adult would have been a lot easier.

I have adopted kittens and adult stray cats. And I have had just as strong a relationship with the adults I have adopted.

The great thing about adults like thess is that they are spayed. Spaying a female can be expensive, along with the shots. I think it is good for females to have had kittens, though it is not always good for the cat population; they are happier in the long run. But it is also a hassle to take care of little kittens and find them homes. So Boo is already set in that regard. And it sounds like Hoochoo may have had kittens, given the way she treated Boo; if not, Boo is her surrogate.

These are not descended from wild Korean cats; they look like their Western house cat cousins. Hoochoo looks like she has some Somali in her, judging from her ticked fur. Could be a trace of Korean, though.

For the right person, these are going to be wonderful companions. And it seems to me that when you have two cats that are good friends, passing them on to a new home when you have to move on is not going to be especially traumatic for them.

BTW, I had a blue cream, and she was very pretty.

Here is an unusally good list of cat color types:

Gatsby....Thanks for the information. Hoochoo had kittens earlier this year...she wasn't even a year yet. She was staying at a friends place while I was away and got pregnant. Anyway, it was a nice suprise for me when I came back. I found all the kittens great homes.

I paid for her spaying surgery and your right, its not cheap. In total with all the visits and everything it was 250,000 won. Quite a pretty penny.

Boo, being the older one...has become great friends with Hoochoo. They care about each other and it would be a shame to separate them.

Again if you are interested in the cats, they have some food, litter, litter box, etc that cats need.

Again.........these animals still need to find a good home. They don't have to go together although it would be awsome if I could find someone that loves cats and would take both. It's honestly easier having the two...I find that they get into less mischief when they are together.
