This was about aboriginal issues in Australia. Apparently molestation is common there and the government is planning on intervening. This cartoon has since been pulled but people online saved it.

That is really disgusting.
And it reveals the mind of racist hatred behind it. |

Whether the cartoon is about aboriginal molestation or molestation in general, the cartoon (who ever heard of drawing a cartoon about molestation?) is in itself disgusting - particularly the blood pouring from the dead (?) girl behind the molestor.
Typically, I try not to be negative towards Koreans in general, prefering to give them the benefit of the doubt. But when something as officially Korean as the Chosun Ilbo prints such disgusting, atrocious, ape-like sh*t in their pages, it makes me want to set fire to everything in sight, or at least the offices of the Chosun Ilbo.
As someone who was molsted twice as a child, I can say with authority that molestation should never be treated so flippantly! I want to vomit.

It just talks about where pedophilia comes from (genetics vs. environment) and then talks about a study in London where pedophiles had a much larger chance of having been sexually assaulted as children. |

I know the cartoon is portraying Australian aboriginals, and it originally ran with their coverage of the issue. |

Odd then that the picture features a white australian molesting a native aboriginal, when the issue was of abuse within the aboriginal community.
But portraying white foreigners as sexual predators is the norm here I see. |

Why not change the picture to a Japanese soldier and Korean comfort women. I wonder if that would be posted in the Korean news ? |

They're few and far between, but I know for a fact that I've seen cartoons in North American magazines about molestation as a general social issue. |

I also want to add that the Chosun Ilbo doesn't exactly speak for the people of Korea. |

It kind of seems like the equivalent of posting something like this in Newsweek. Granted, not every American reads Newsweek---I don't---but it has a sizable enough readership to both reflect and influence public opinion. The average Korean probably doesn't have any opinion of Australia or aborigonies, but it shows an awfully disgusting attitude toward sex and sexual assault. I'd assume that if netizens saved screen captures of it, it shows that they're disgusted by it as well. (I hope). |

The cartoon characters all look Korean. Doesn't the artist know what Aborigines look like? Maybe he only knows how to draw Asians. |
