| I'll wager it's because they didn't take two minutes to study Hangul and have no idea how the word is actually spelled or how to pronounce it. |

There are two standards that I know of and then there are non standard and then there are phonetics.
The d in front of the j sounds like a phonetic form of sorts. |

| -Since transliteration never works 100% is it fair to say anything makes you look like an idiot? After all Tsing Tao doesn't exactly sound like it looks AT ALL buts thats how its spelt. |

Exactly, that's how it is spelt. No one is contesting that. It's the absurd spelling of "adjumma" and "adjoshi" that perturbs me; a red-flag of ignorance on behalf of the poster.
And why do I care? I don't particularly. Go on and look like an idiot all you want. I just wanted to point it out in case they wanted to show a little self-improvement. Why do you care if I care or not?
This could go on for a long while... |

| Sadly, I agree. Drives me nuts when I see terrible romanization of words. But, the worst is when a few people on here spell it azummas. I would be that most of it is due to not knowing actual Korean though. |

| Using the "d" is much closer to the actual sound. If you haven't noticed, lots of Korean consonants don't quite fit their Roman alphabet equivalent. |
