Going home soon and taking my notebook with me
Not too sure about the voltage back home but am I correct in thinking that I can just cut off the korean prong on the cord and attach my own country's prong?
The voltage converter on the notebook cord will automatically sort out the voltage, right?

Probably, yes... 99.9% of them do...

I would be very surprised if a notebook (of recent heritage) that you bought or used over here was not usable globally.

Just to make sure (for your own peace of mind), look on the brick and make sure that it has a rating of 100-240VAC.

If yes, just cut off the end and add one for home use.

The worst that would happen IF it was not a dual voltage brick AND if you used it in Korea on line power (240vac) would that it may be underpowered on a North American line (110vac).

yes.

However the end with the plug should come out by itself and you can replace it easily enough. Or you can buy one of those funky things that go over your plug so you can use it with plugs back home - they go for about 500 won.

Unless you are returning to Australia,
where your screen will be viewed upside down.

Laughing

It won't work in NZ either because no one can find work there.
