"[Korean ex-captive Jae Chang-Hee] held up the light gray trousers and the pink shirt he wore while being held captive."

Can you imagine a pink-shirted Korean man preaching Christianity in some desolate village in Afghanistan without laughing?

Wow, if I ever get kidnapped by the Taliban, I'll just go ahead and convert to Islam. I could always de-convert later.

Having seen that picture of them its no wonder the Taliban gave them back, bunch of miserable looking gits!!

It really is starting to wind me up that the press are still allowing these idiots a platform to talk.

Considering that people released from captivity genreally smile from ear to ear and state how they now appreciate their freedom etc these sad faces smack of some kind of attempt to gain sympathy.

Yup. It's all the same in the end, it's just different ways of practicing it.

I wonder if the pink-shirted guy brought his goofy hat and bullhorn. I'd kidnap them, too, if they were in my hometown screaming at me through those things. Well, maybe not kidnap.

My wife made a big deal about how they have been caught smiling. When they arrived at the airport directly from being released, their arms were all full with duty-free purchases.

I thought the duty free bags were pretty ridiculous. Were those purchases taxpayer funded too? "Traumatized after the murder of two of their colleagues and being held captive for weeks, the kidnapped missionaries made time to pick up Chanel lipstick and bottles of Chivas at the duty free store."

Hilarious. Koreans don't seem to be oblivious to the "optics" of their behavior.

IIRC, those bags were donated to the released hostages by the airport facilities. The hostages used them to hold stuff they already had with them.

Go to Charlottesville, Virginia. Step onto the Campus of University of Virginia. You will see an entire campus of people wearing pink shirts, collars popped up, khaki's, and birkenstock sandals.

The intrigue deepened when Song said. We didnt have any toilet paper, so we had to use pages from a book. What book, one might ask. Gosh, I reckon there's one book that missionaries always carry multiple copies of that just happens to have a certain rice-papery softness that might lend itself to such a purpose.

Wipin' your poo-hole with the Bible makes the baby Jesus cry little salty tears, you insensitive hostages. For shame.
