This figure can't be right:
As of 1997, the total number of Seoul schools is 2,770. Kindergartens outnumber all others with 1,370 schools. There are 512 elementary schools, 352 middle schools, 273 high schools, 15 junior colleges, and 36 universities.

That figure might be indicative of Korea as a whole, but I find it hard to believe that just Seoul has that many schools. |

2.5 million students divided into school sizes of about 2000 students = just about 1200 schools (in Seoul city). |

A lot of schools are much smaller than 2000 students. My elementary school in Dongjak-gu is only 800. |
