P W D L F A GD PTS
1 Scotland 9 7 0 2 17 7 10 21
2 Italy 9 6 2 1 15 7 8 20
3 France 9 6 1 2 15 3 12 19
4 Ukraine 8 4 1 3 10 9 1 13
5 Lithuania 9 3 1 5 7 11 -4 10
6 Georgia 9 2 1 6 14 15 -1 7
7 Faroe Islands 9 0 0 9 3 29 -26 0

After Scotland beating France away from home last night, our little team is proudly sitting top of the group, above the two finalists of the last World Cup, who are currently ranked 3rd and 4th in the world. Well done lads. Just felt the need to shout it out, nobody at my school will care haha!

As us Scots know deep down, there is unfortunately still ample opportunity for us to blow it.

What does this have to do with Korea?....ummmm......ummmm.....ah, it leads me to my next question, regarding football ('soccer').

Does anyone know if a lower division team play their home games at Mokdong Stadium? I can't find any information, aside from it being used for random tournaments.

The result made my day!

However, as a typical Scot., I just KNOW they are going to blow it by getting hammered by Georgia; but it is a great day for the Tartan Army.

Also, I think that France might end up with 28 pts, so the lads have to get at least 7 points in the last three games.

Scotland Forever!

Yeah, well done. I was up cheering for England against Russia at 400 AM but couldn't keep my eyes off the ticker for the Scotland game. Was nice to see my Scottish workmate with a smile on his face as well. Hopefully you'll go on and do the job. Tough luck for N'orn Iron and the Republic tho.

jaga, how did you manage that game?

Amazed today when I saw the scotland score. excellent work. thought france had put a weakened team out but they were all there, viera, malouda, trezuguet, ribery, anelka et al. Which makes it all the more impressing.

It will be tragic for the scots not to carry on this form, but i think the confidence from beating france twice will get them thru. 7 wins is excellent. Get the tartan ready!!

France I think are finished, there really hanging onto the oldies and it's killing them.

That was a good win - no doubt about it, but I remember Wales having to get a point against Italy (away) an Serbia and Montenegro (home) to qualify for Euro 2004 and getting nothing, losing to Russia in the playoffs.

But you are in a good position! Do us all a favour and get to that quarter final for the first time in your history! Laughing

A football sensing baby? Well trained already.

The hour. It's a real bummer, especially when the Champions League starts. A 6am finish for the match ain't gonna happen.

There's always simple logic with watching football, football and a few beers. I can't stop drinking at 6am when the match finishes, sleep for 1 hour and hope I'm gonna wake up feeling brill! And I'm not talking about getting absolutely leathered here, just a few, unless Arsenal finally win the CL this year.

I'm from Australia and apart from the 4 years I spent in England, that is how I am accustomed to watching my footie. Working banker's hours at an elementary school helps too.

Yep. Moving to Indonesia next year so most most prem games kick off at convenient times. Will have my fill of footie, get screaming drunk and in bed before midnight. Good stuff!

True it was a great result. Beating France two times is something else. It could all be meaningless though if we don't do the business in the last three games.

If we can get 7 points from our last 3 games i would be happy. I think its Georgia, Ukraine, and Italy still to go. (Forgive me if that's wrong but i'm pretty forgetful.) Hopefully we can keep the head and beat Georgia and Ukraine. Then the last game against Italy will be less pressure.

Would be good to see both England and Scotland qualify.

And to the lad that said he hopes we get to the quarter final. That would be pure notch. Laughing

Still a long way to go though.
