|
|
Greetings,
Somewhere over the course of the last year either my PS, city hall or the recruiter lost my BA diploma. I've asked many times, but they just keep going around in circles with who has it.
I have my MA diploma, and so what I'm wondering is if the MA diploma (and transcripts etc) are sufficient for a visa, or if the BA diploma must be included.
Also, somewhate related, does anyone know of hotel/motel near in Gwangju near the KTX station? I'm heading there tonight and I need a place to stay. |

Having a M.A. should suffice, However, its
best to contact your original University and get a replacement.

You MA and Transcripts will be more than sufficient for your visa requirements...Why in the world did you let them keep your BA? that is not required and they certainly took their liberties to keep it and then lose it. I would really be upset if this happened, but there is nothing you can do to change what has occurred...You are good to go with the other credentials just as long as they are not compromised in any way...I can't help you with the hotel/motel situation, but there are certainly a number of love hotels around most stations in the metro areas... |

I asked for it back when I arrived, but the school was chaotic and very badly organized. I was told they would get it for me, and then nothing happened. After multiple inquiries I was told city hall had it. City hall said the recruiter had it, and before today no one ever responded from the recruiter, but today someone finally got back to me and they said they'd call my school...
Thanks for the info. |

I don't think this is the case. In a logical place it would be.
I believe you need you bachelor's on paper and seal transcripts. That's all they want.
Another immigration office/officer might be different, but I wouldn't count on that. |

Hmmmm....NO...
OP:
Immigration WILL require your BA and transcripts. They do NOT care about post grad work and will ignore your MA and will probably deny your visa application if you only submit your MA.
Get another copy of your BA from the issuing university ASAP. |

I know this is Korea and the ESL industry, but not counting the MA diploma is flat out retarded.
I've got the recruiting company calling my school, and I'll be emailing my school and city hall again soon, but I want to step their efforts and the pressure up.
Does anyone have the working email address of the liason woman who works for Gyeonggi education? She lived in Australia for a number of years and has a bit of an accent. The email address that I have for her: [email protected]
is no longer working.
Thanks |

People who let others touch or even hold their Diplomas rather than just look at or copy are complete tools in my book...total plonkers! Just a hard fact of life.... |

I emailed the gepik person, but everyone seems to be at orientation.
Does anyone know if notorized copies of diplomas are still kosher at immigration, or with the recent crackdown does it have to be the original? |

My JD was submitted for my visa...however, a JD is a three year doctoral degree, so the transcripts showed three years of study. |

They are still accepting Korean consulate certified copies. |
