Besides aid for draft-dodgers, I'm also looking for apartment hunting tips.
Where can I find some English listings online? Besides the Buy/Sell/Trade forum here (only a couple of listings), I've been looking on the Korea Herald site. Where else can I look? The Korea Times wants a scanned copy of my Alien Registration Card (!) to browse their site. The few real estate agency sites I've seen online have been for the urban version of palatial estates. I'm looking for CHEAPO places (by cheapo, I mean 5 mil key money and 200-400k/mo rent). Any other good online sites?

I'm also not above tramping around on foot. If there is a physical location with stuff like this posted, I'd like to hear about it. I'm also willing to go Budongsan office to Budongsan office in neighborhoods not far from my work (near City Hall), but a Korean friend told me this might be ineffective because they are looking for people who want to buy apts, not rent. Is this true?

I gotta find a tolerable place by the end of December, so I'm open to suggestions ;D

Thanks

Real estate agents can do both, find you apt to rent and apt to buy.

Do you know what they look like? Bring a Korean friend with you and look around.

Living around city hall is probably really expensive though...i'd suggest heading to one of the "Villa" type neighbourhoods around that part of Seoul and hooking up with a real estate agent there.

Never heard of English listenings that weren't for huge corporations or the us military.
