I am in no means close to old age, but I found a random stray white hair this morning.. of all places an eyebrow hair. I'm sure it's a fluke.
I also noticed that there are some Korean students that have white/grey hair.. not MANY, but enough to take notice. It make me wonder what the cause is. I don't remember ANY of my friends having white hair in high school...
Could it be from the diet, stress, medicine (I HATE taking medication because I never really know what I'm taking)?

In the case of kids with white hair, it's probably stress from studying. I was amazed when a 7 year old student of mine a couple f years ago, had one white strand. The other kids and I were looking at it. It was really white.  |

| I started getting white hair when I was 16. My mom had a great streak in her black hair for as long as i can remember. Mine was probably genetic or stress related, although I'd never thought of the stress factor until now. |

I have white hair too...started getting it last year here in Korea...I am only 31
My older bothers dont have any and my father started getting grey hair when he was forty
Kinda strange
I mostly eat my own cooking which is western food...so its not my diet
Maybe it's stress |

I'm 25 and just noticed my first gray hair last week. It's definitely silvery-gray, no mistake about it. Given that I also got shingles this year, I really shouldnt' be surprised.
I've probably had a white eyebrow hair before too, though until right now I always thought they were just blonde. Given that the rest of them are dark brown, I suppose that wouldn't make much sense. |

People with black hair sometimes have white hairs at a young age. I'm one of them. Been having white hairs appear since I was about 15 or 16.
I've always figured it has something to do with pigmentation flaws, similar to albinism. I also assume people with lighter hair color have them as well, but they are not in stark contrast to black hair and thus somewhat camouflaged. The idea that white hair is caused by stress always struck me as an old wives' tale. |
