I'd never trust it. I'd bring it as carryon.
I always bring my electronics bag (laptop, dika, dikam, accessories) as carryon. It is NEVER checked or mailed. |

This is obviously the best way to take your laptop home if your going directly home. I brought my PS3 and Laptop over in the same carry on backpack.
But if thats not possible, if you use Fedex or some other reputible courier, there is no worries. If it is lost or damaged it is insured.
It will be expensive though, but it is worth the peace of mind.
Not sure about sending it by sea though. I though about that for my TV, but am a little unsure. |

well they ship in their original packaging. air/foam packaging with teh original styrofoam double-boxed is pretty damn safe. |

unforunately i'm not going home directly (off travelling for a few months) as i'd usually do the same and take it on the flight with me....
this might sound ridiculous but does anyone know of any long term (2 months) storage options at Bangkok airport or even in the city?? |
