my LCD screen packed in some time ago, but i've been able to take pictures & view them on my computer later.
have just returned from a holiday of a lifetime, excited to see my photos. HOWEVER only half of my photos have uploaded, the other have just have jpeg icons, with 0 SIZE showing when i hold the mouse above.
i'm a complete computer/camera charlatan, so excuse if this ramble does not make sense.
can anyone help me, or does it sound like my pictures do not actually exist?

I assume you are a PC person.
Try searching on google with terms like digital photo image recovery utility.
I know that there is hope.
If you have a Mac I could be more specific.
Also, you are not likely a charlatan, but more a novice.
Search google for a good dictionary utility. Wink
Good luck.

If the photos still exist on the camera try again.

Delete the zero sized files and upload again.

Did the original load get interupted?

Is the battery charge on the camera low?

What name and model camera do you have? (Just Curious)

yeah the original load did get interrupted, i got a message on my screen telling me something about memory problems & the usb point the camera was plugged into.
like i said, i'm a div with computers, so i just ignored it, so that could have been the point at which the problem arose?
its a samsung s600, but the lcd screen is blank, so god knows what it could have been warning me of. sods law though. its never done this before, typical it would happen on my tour of japan.
