Hey everyone just wanted to pass this along. I have been using skype to call home. But today a buddy of mine told me about icall It's free to call home and you receive calls for free, you even get a voice box. Your family and friends dial an access number in their home town and put in your icall number and you receive free calls. I just got off the phone will my parents and it was clear and best part free.
Just visit this link to download the program like skype and start talking for free

If its free, when how come you are listed as a referrer in the link?
Do you get money for each person that signs up?? Sounds a little sketchy to me. If it was free with no strings attached then why a referral? |

That's the link that was in my referral page. You get no money or anything just the link that it told to use. |

Because I just made a call home and it hung up on me at 5 minutes. You then are asked to upgrade to "pro" which is 5 bux a month. |

How can that be? On the website it says:
1. Free outgoing calls to the US and Canada
That's right, 100% free. We'll never charge you to make a call to the US or Canada. Other places charge up to 3 cents a minute and restrict who can call who.
Something is not right... |

Don't worry I will make the call, but the time in Canada right now (West Coast), is about 4:00am. Anyways, don't have a hernia over my comments. I take it that you need a nap. Nighty night... |

Yes if you phone it only last for 5 minutes. So this is what I did. You can get your parents to phone one of the local numbers and they put in your access number. My parents phoned me and we talked for 30 minutes without it hanging up. so i guess you can phone who you want to talk to tell them in 5 minutes to phone you back using the local number you can find on their website and they use your code. Sorry about the misunderstanding but was pretty excited about the free calling. But this way you still get the free incoming calls and free voice mail, just have to use skype to doing an outgoing call over 5 minutes. I hope this helps people out. |

Well, thanks for providing another alternative for people to make/receive calls from home.
I have Skype setup to call forward all of my calls directly to my cell phone. |

I'm not the who's hemorrhaging--idiot -_-
It's not bad...free 5 minutes is quite good already. I dont mind the constant redialing lol. However, the quality is not that clear...my parents have told me it echos..and i hear it on my end as well..with skype the calls are clear. |

Yes I agree 100% that when you phone it is echoed but when you get a call it is very clear right about with skype. I'm not saying it's perfect but it's free and when they call you, you can talk longer and it's much much more clear. I will still use skype for phoning my University to do my MBA but this way you have a solid contact number in Korea with voice mail. Hope this helps some people out. |
