|
|
These puppies were brought to the vet clinic at the Emart in Daejon after having lived the first 4 months of their lives with their parents at the Daejeon animal shelter. The white (female) and cream (male) are siblings, the brown (female) one is their friend. They are doing well, but would really like to find adoptive homes soon and no longer have to live in cages at the clinic. Foster homes are also welcome!
They do not need to be adopted together. Please contact Annie at ansauvage AT yahoo.ca or her mobile 010 4566 2322 or Tim at tim.vasudeva AT gmail.com or his mobile 010 8940 5233 if you would like more information or would like to visit them and play for awhile to see if you've found your match!

For anyone who is interested in volunteering for a worthy animal welfare cause, a group of us go down to Daejon about once a month to help out a lady who runs a dog shelter from her farm - she looks after about 200 dogs. We bathe, clip and walk the dogs as well as help clean the shelter.
Our next trip will be next weekend - Saturday the 29th of Sep. Details can be found at http://www.lonelylifetime.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=109
and pictures from our last visit can be seen at http://www.lonelylifetime.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=99
Also, these two little pups are still looking for homes - they were rescued from the same shelter. |

Thanks for the work you're doing. I can't take a dog now, but I'll consider volunteering! |

On a slightly different note, timvas.... do you know of any dog trainer in the area (Daejeon)? We adopted a dog that someone found on the street - a pure bred cocker spaniel girl!!! When we first saw her she was really scrawny but now she is huge!!!!
But..
We tried to train her but she is not receptive. Doesn't help that my husband is lax about it, too! So we are thinking of finding a trainer who can train her. We think she was really mistreated by the people who threw her out because she is really (still) scared of people yelling at her and she pees a small amount everytime someone does.
Right now, I must admit, she has a proper house with cushions and all that upstairs on the rooftop (it doesn't sound like we are abandoning her) and we take her out for walks morning and evening... but I'd like her to come live with us inside our home. It's just not very possible if she is not receptive to be trained by us because we have a soon-to-be-3-year-old toddler and I can't have a dog that pees everywhere.. cos my daughter lounges everywhere and it just won't do to have pee everywhere.
If you can make a suggestion or know of someone who will help train her, please let me know.
Thanks!!! |

Hi
I do have a friend who trains dogs part time, he is excellent but he is in Seoul.
I have friends in Daejon though, so I will ask them whether they know of any dog trainers they can recommend in the Daejon area and get back to you.
Cheers

You strike me as a guy more interested in temporary foster care for said lady. |
