Sometimes you find some avatar on Dave's that's offensive. There's always some war over "your avatar violates the AUP and even if it doesn't, I'm offended!" Anyway, I'm of the belief if you're on the internet you're going to find an image that will offend you or might not be worksafe for you. Given that, surf at your own risk and don't complain if you don't like some guy's image of a smokin' Jesus.
Anyway, Firefox allows you to block images but it's rather crude. You need to block them from a whole site. I don't much want to block images from the whole of some image sharing service because I don't like one user's avatar of an old lady with a rotted away nose or because some idiot has a 600 pixel avatar of a giant blue baby Indian god and totally forks up screen widths. You know who you are!
That said, the above Firefox extension lets you fine tune image blocking. Problem solved. If you're not using Firefox, well, tough tiㅌㅌies. |
