For my job I correct the writing of Koreans online. Not that bad and I never meet them face-to-face. Anyway, we got one real creep on recently.

When I read his first message I already had a bad feeling about him. See if you can tell why.

Quote:

Hi, man!
...
I think you are man. If not, I'll be happier.
haha. It is just my joke. Never mind.
Oh... I'm hungry... I'm a little hungry.
I hope I eat something I make after I stoke the fire and break out the silver.
Well, because I'm exhausted, I can't do that. lol
Could you help me? haha.
You gotta cook for me. Then I'll also present your supper.
I dislke the Korea. I don't hate and I don't like about the Korea. I like the Japan because Japanese sex culture is very great. ...

So pretty weird. He's already insinuated he'd have the hots for me if I'm a woman and invited me to cook for him. Oh, and he worships Japan's "sex culture." Great.

The next one was even freakier.

Recently, I often hear a news foreigner teacher commite crime. This place is heaven to them.
Of curse, all foreigner teachers is not.
Partial people using English do that.
They has two~three girlfriends in their house, and they take some drug. They flirt with Korean woman.
They also gang rape Korean woman.

At this point you're probably thinking "Yeah, he's just a typical Korean racist." Well he's clearly hung up on the sex thing.

For another assignment, students have to caption a photo. Here's the picture, which was taken by me several years ago in Edmonton.

It's rainning. A man is standing in some apartment's veranda. He's looking at something special.
I think he may be looking at a woman.
The woman may be quite beautiful and sexy because she is sexually walking without an umbrella.
He is positively distracted by her.
He want to go next to her. If he goes to the her, he will be tranformed into brute. The imagination seems a little bad. But, It is a little fun. If you were in my shoes, you could understand me. Why? I don't have my girl friend.
It couldn't be!!!!!!!!
I parted from my ex-girlfriend. I'm alone...
Well... I think he may also think like me.

I have to admit, this guy is starting to seem like the sort who drives a taxi, and gets his friends to follow behind him in a rental car. Today he posted a long, rambling message trying to find out if I'm a man or woman. I'm under orders not to answer it until disciplinary action is taken. Otherwise he might show up at my office with a codpiece and a bowler hat and invite me out for a little of the old ultra-violence or something.

You got a true weirdo on your hands!

I also find it disturbing about his projections on foreigners in Korea.

Ewwwww. I'm thoroughly skeeved out. Since when is it appropriate to write that kind of thing to a stranger whose only association is professional? I wonder why he broke up with his last girlfriend...

I think this weirdo's got in his head that all foreigners are dirty perverts so I must be a dirty pervert myself so that my teacher (you) can relate to me.

I'd ask him to try to write about other things as it's not appropriate. If he continues, I'd pass the emails onto your supervisor/manager, if you have, and see what they think should be done.

It's actually been done and hopefully taken care of.

I told my wife I think he'd be the sort of guy who writes scripts for creepy late-night rape fantasy movies. I bet he downloads a lot of white-on-Korean porn and really gets his jollies off it.

It is disturbing the projection from Koreans on to foreigners.

Another one is when just regular Korean people come up to me and say words like 'homey, and 'yo', etc.

The mass majority of ESL teachers in Korea towards Korean students aren't and don't want to be 'homeys'.

Sorry, looks like the new ones have been erased.

He wrote a description of this picture
http://ahaenglish.co.kr/images/picturedis/2007/09/0907.jpg
saying that he wished those were women's legs in the photo. Nothing about turning into a "brute" or "gangrape."
