here is a picture of my wife, myself, and the fruits of our gardening labor. the seeds for the big one were given to me by ya-ta boy. thanks, ya-ta. as soon as i open that bad boy up, i'll return the favor. in the meantime, it's months before halloween and i don't think the pumpkin will keep that long. so i want to get the seeds out and see if i can't get another crop in before halloween, but i don't know what to do with my big pumpkin. i'd like to make some pumpkin pies, but i don't know if i can find everything i need to do that in korea. anyone have any really easy recipes? thanks!

You killed it! You killed it!
**Back on topic, someone was on here earlier this year explaining how to make pumpkin pie stuff out of a real pumpkin. I have it somewhere, but not on this computer. I'll see if I can dig it up. Just in case, maybe that person will do a friendly reprint.
PS: I"m jealous as hell. |

hey ya-ta.
i didn't have much choice in the matter. the old farmer guy who i'm renting the plot from said that a lot of the local fishermen have been eyeing my pumpkin lately, and he wasn't sure how much time i had before someone stole it. he suggested i hide it, but i didn't see much point in that. those who would want to steal it already know it's there. if i covered it with something, it's not likely they would be fooled. |

There's a recipe there with step-by-step pics. I don't like a highly spiced pumpkin pie, though, so even if you just used cinnamon and maybe a touch of ginger I think it would turn out okay. |

Surely it made more than 1 pie! Come on...what did you do with the rest of the pumpkin? |

it's sliced up and in the refrigerator. i might get around to making another pie. or it might just rot in the refrigerator. anyone is welcome to come around for a slice of pie, but it's quite a hike from seoul. |
