Hello everyone!
I was going to study at Yonsei, but after realizing that the commute is 30-40 minutes each way, I decided that looking for something closer is the better solution.
SO:
Do you know of any other colleges or Hagwons that offer Korean classes in the evening? That would be past 5 ish. If so, please send me the name and location, etc., as I would really appreciate it. Near Gangnam.
Thanks so much! |

Yonsei - how much are classes there? Do they have weekend classes?
I'm considering getting a Korean tutor because I won't have much time during the week to go to school or hagwon and a private tutor might be more flexible schedule-wise.
I wouldn't mind having a hot Korean chick tutor me...preferably one that looks like Kim Hye Soo or Song Hye Gyo. Anyone know of one? |

I'm in the same boat.
There's two places I found. The one that seems like it's pretty good is in the same building as the New York Bakery by Exit 6. I called them but the person that answers the phone couldn't answer my questions and didn't speak English. The person I talked to said she'd have someone that speaks English call but it never actually happened. I had a Korean friend call a few days later to find out they were all full for September.
I physically visited another one outside of Exit 8 (I think... whichever exit Platinum is at). I didn't have a great impression of it. I felt claustrophobic the whole time I was in there, like they used the same floorplan from a space like 50% bigger.
Supposedly YBM by Burger King has Korean classes but I have yet to confirm that.
I learned a lot from the private tutor I had for about 6 months. She was expensive, but she was professional and demanded a lot, which was good. The only reason I'm not going back with her is I don't have anywhere near the time I did last year to do the amount of homework and studying she required.
I've also tried self-study and learned that I don't self-motivate very well... |

The YBM at exit 2 in Gangnam offers classes. I'm taking them there right now. |

Is there a phone number or website for it?
How much does it cost? |

The Phone number is 554-0509. Classes are 2 hours long and it costs 110,000 for 10 classes a month and 220,000 for 20 classes a month. Plus whatever your textbook costs. |
