Saw a post a while ago about an Indian restaurant in Bucheon and was wondering if it was still open.
If it is can someone give me directions. Also are there any good Indian places in Sinchon? |

Anapurna is indeed still open, but it can be a little hard to find. You need to exit Bucheon Station on the side where Pizza Hut is seen. I think it is the North side. There is a big loop for Taxis there as well. If you walk down that big main street away from Bucheon station about 3 blocks and then go to your right down one of the little side streets, Anapurna is in the alley that runs parallel to the big main street. It's a teal coloured sign with white writing in English. I'm sorry, I'm horrid at directions, so I hope this helps a bit! |

Is that 'big main street' the one that runs directly away from the station, or the one that is parallel to the train tracks?
I need to take a looksie for this place.
BTW, there's another good Indian/Nepalese place right near Bupyeong station. PM if you want directions. Very easy to find and really good. |

The place in Bupyeong is, I'm assuming, a little more on the Nepalese side. Most times I've gone there were less than satisfying. Lunch specials are quite cheap. 6,000 for 2 dishes, naan, rice and a lassi. The Saag Paneer has a very different flavor/style than most Indian restaurants i've been too, hence my assumption of a more Nepalese influence. |

You mean First Nepal? I get the sense it's more Nepalese as well. |

It is the big main street that runs AWAY from Bucheon station, not parallel. And the one in Bupyeong gave my bud the worst case of food poisoning he has ever had 2 weeks ago. I would avoid it. |

I want to believe that Anapurna is still open... can anyone confirm that you've been there recently. I tried a few months ago one evening. The door was looked and it looked like the place was closed. I figured it was, and I haven't been down that way since.. |

I disagree. I have eaten there 3 times, and I have always been satisfied. The chicken saag is excellent.
If it is Nepalese or Indian style, I care not. I don't personally know the difference. I just like it.

Was it a Monday by any chance?
I know Anapurna closes on Monday nights. |

That's a good question... I can't remember the day. I guess it could have been a Monday. The whole matter would be cleared up if anyone can post and simply say that they've been there recently. |

I was there on Saturday night. Usually they are open til 10pm, so maybe it was a Monday when you went.
As for the Bupyeong place, our friend was so sick he was close to being hospitalized. I would not recommend any place that makes a person that sick, especially when there is another great place like Anapurna nearby. |

Well until they make me or my friends sick, I will continue to go there. But I am also open to trying a new place. |
