I'm an Australian, currently in Korea. Does anyone know where I can get a free (or cheapish) Australian criminal background check on myself, done for my new Employer? Website with application form?
Also, I need a medical exam by a Korean GP in Seoul. Probably just a blood test that I don't have TB, AIDS or use illicit substances. Again, cheapish would be nice.

Another question:
The AFP (Australian Fed Police) does a full criminal history search Australia wide. Their website & emails are vague on cost. The Qld Police just do a Qld State check & are cheaper ($40). My home state was Qld but I have visited other states but not lived anywhere else in Australia besides Qld. Will the Qld State crim bg check be adequate? How strict are Korean Immigration on this point?
No spliff, I don't do drugs. I found a place in Jongno 3 Ga that does medical reports for 35k won.

| Far as I know the criminal check isn't for immi it's for your employer. |

Don't you wanna be clear on things before you blindly go along with things that are not explained or understood?

Criminal background check is apparently quite simple.
New legislation (2007), in theory applies to ALL teachers ( foreigners & Koreans ).
Have you been charged of any crimes in Korea? If not, no worries.
"Medical" report? Have no idea what has been legislated here.
