I met him once. He was/is an okay guy. He worked in Japan for awhile illegaly I gather during the economic bubble era there. Went to Thailand met some girl and got married came back to the the US and started this whole thing.

A lot of people were into that, write a book on how to go to Asia and teach English at that time. He just did it on the Internet in maybe 1996?

Things have evolved a bit since he was teaching here (I mean Asia) Europe as well. I don't think he cares. I think all the misrepresentations now, he simply doesn't care.

Still a good place to encounter recruiters.

Killed Japan and Taiwan as places to go. Probably Korea as well soon from overload.
