				| hey everybody. this is my second time around in Seoul and recently stayed in Ulsan AND Bundang..got some job offers..
...they seem really similar, can anyone point out main differences?

(besides one's closer to Hongdae and one's closer to Gangnam)

I'd be interested in: hiking, playing music, boxing (anyone know places?), oh and yeah, teaching. are the kids terrors in both sides?

and reliable schools (what's with the rumor of Ilsan having bad hagwons?)

anyway, any advice would help, cheers.

				| Can't comment on Ulsan, but I like Bundang. Not a lot of night life here but well served by Express buses. I like it because it is cleaner, more modern and less crowded. Also the Tancheon is great for blading aand biking, or just walking. I recently saw my first Raccoon dog late one evening, and the ducks are common. I have also seen lots of turtles, though none this year so far. A few weeks ago I saw a snake swimming in the river. The ridges on either side have hiking trails, and some friends have actually camped several times.
So, for all around comfort, I give Bundang high marks. I still go in to town a lot, especially to eat and meet friends, but there are a few good resto's in Jeongja. It is a tad expensive here.
As far as kids go, there are a few brats, but lots of really good kids too. If you have any more direct inquiries about Bundang, I will try to get back on here and reply. Good luck!

				| do some research. start by finding out whether you are talking about ilsan or ulsan, so as to avoid being a repeat of the guy who thought he was working in incheon.
you cannot make blanket statements like ulsan has bad hagwons or all the kids in ilsan are terrors

put some effort into trying to find a decent job, dont just chose a place because it is near hongdae, near a boxing gym etc

or just get a job in st andrews because its by an outback steakhouse...

				| Thanks Arthur, sounds all right. Anybody else know about ILSAN, not Ulsan. | |
