| What establishments in Korea have open mics? I'd like to know, especially for the sake of practicing stand-up comedy. I don't know where such bars or nightclubs are, so if anyone can indicate the names of those and where they are location, I'd be greatful. Thanks. |

| Never ever heard of a place specialising in comedy, but I guess it's worth a shot. I went to Dublin in Bundang a couple weeks ago and there was a pretty good crowd. |

Your avatar is just wrong. Putting Fenriz from Darkthrone with the cheese clowns Immortal, christ, if I were Korean, I'd hound you and beat your ass, too. |

I think Orange Tree (on top of SSEN); can't remember the other names. I'm sure someone knows. Try searching it--I saw this on another thread somewhere |

Thanks for the update, Tokki1! I appreciate it.
Is it true that Woodstock in Itaewon has an open mic night? Does anybody know?
Sorry to beg, y'all, but it's for a good cause:

Those in our group of comedian wanna-bes need a list of open mic places in Seoul (and perhaps other cities) in which to practice stand-up. |

i was there once, and a friend of mine had a go at it. he'd told us a story that we all laughed our asses off at, and we pushed him into telling the same story on the stage. he really had the gift. fun night.
so yeah, i can confirm that three or four years ago, woodstock in itaewon had an open mic night. i haven't been since though. |
