For all those yogis and yoginis out there, is there anyone who practices Kundalini yoga? Just before I came to Korea I finished a teacher training in the discipline, and while I am fairly certain there are no other teachers of the tradition in Korea, are there any practitioners? Just curious.

Well... I am no expert, Hindu mysticism is a complex beast but as I understand it kundalini yoga is a type of tantrism. This is according to Shamdasani, who edited Carl Jung's 'the Psychology of Kundalini Yoga'.
Tantrism was a religious and philosophical movement that became popular in the fourth century and was anti-ascetic and anti-speculative. In tantrism there is a celebration of the body which is seen as a microcosm of the universe and it reinstates the Goddess in a dominant position. This also describes Kundalini yoga. Kundalini yoga is any tradition of yoga in which the main goal is the movement of kundalini energy and the attainment of higher consciousness. I believe Sivananda yoga is also a 'kundalini' yoga. But I do the kind that was brought to North America by Yogi Bhajan in 1969.
