...and the food was really good.

There are about six things you can order on the menu. Mostly chickens and beef that come with yogurt sauces, salads, and nan (which strangely looked like tortillas). |

Tiger Beer:
Never tried Persian food. How does it differ from, say, Greek or Turkish food, or Middle Eastern food in general, given that it's not Arab? Just curious.
Word of caution:
Look out for crusher of heads, he might call you out for using partial cap locks in your thread title. But let's not encourage the poor fellow. |

I like middle eastern cuisine quite a bit, but I have never been a fan of Persian or Afghan food. Something just really puts me off about fruit in savory dishes. |

If you're referring to the rice with carrots and raisons in it, that's more of an Eastern/Southern Afghan thing. |

The place is in the alley-street on the main drag by Hausbrandt coffee. Keep walking, its on the right. It used to be a Philippino place and before that a really dismal juicy bar. Right before the parking lot as you walk up the hill. |

Prices are around 6500 won for the dish...then another 1000 won for yogurt, 1000 for nan, etc.
Location: If you know BLESS YOU BAR. It's just past that on the right side up the hill - same alley. |

My friend likes the Iranian place, but I do not. I prefer the Palestinian-Jordanian restaurant in Itaewon which has a much better menu (more selection) and excellent food. You can also smoke a nargheela/argeelah/sheeha. The decor is also very nice. Where is it?
Well, do you know the part of Itaewon that kind of slopes and is past the Australian little restaurant? Keep going past it as if you are going towards the Lexus dealership down the hill, but don't down the slope. Look up and you will see "Petra". I like the place and it hardly had any people there though the food is so awesome. The owner is from Bethlehem.
I am definitely going there again... |

Yea, you can go to Petra if you desire food poisoning.
Does the Iranian place have a name? |

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The name isn't that creative. The word 'IRAN' is in the title and in huge letters. Something as simple as 'Iran Restaurant' or something like that.
They fortunately have an Aircon in there...and quite a few posters from the Canadian and Australian tourism boards.
Out front you'll see a large sign near the entrance with pictures of all the different food they serve. |

I didn't have any problems nor did my friend and the Israelis who go there have been there a few times. As far as the Iranian place, the guys are super nice, I wish they had more variety, though. They are in one of the alleys in Itaewon. You have to kind of go up a bit when you go through this alley to find the restaurant. I sure miss the Iranian restaurant I used to eat in that's in Montreal outside of Vendome Metro called Tehran. They have mouth watering Iranian food.. |
