Will hotels exchange currency if you're not staying at them?

It's been my experience that they will not. Upon requesting currency exchange they ask for your room number.

typically they won't. However I've gotten lucky. (If you call paying the hotel rate getting lucky that is)

Some of the higher class hotels have amazing rates. I have no experience with this in Korea though.

Probably not, unless you bribe the guy- a friend of mine exchanged upon arrival, but on the way out the door at checkout time-no thanks.

I was denied by two major American hotels by Seoul Station.

Go to Myeongdong to change money. Or there's a 9-5 place at Seoul Station.
