My contract is up late December/early January. Once I receive my final pay, should I transfer my funds to my American bank account, or exchange all my won for USD? Every month I transfer money to my American bank account to pay bills, so the total amount to exchange or transfer would probably be around won 4,000,000. I bank with Shinhan. Does anyone know if I exchange all the won for USD, if I would receive cash or a cashiers check? Thanks in advance. |

For 4 million you can get either - cash or cashiers check - your choice.
Do whichever is most convenient for you.
If you are going straight home, then cash works.
If you are NOT going straight home, send it by wire and don't worry about it. |
