One of the Korean teachers came into my classroom about 20 minutes ago to help me set up a Daum account. This was completely her idea, and she speaks no English, so it took me a while to figure out what she was trying to do. Apparently there is a site that has many English songs and educational things on it in English that she thought I might find useful (http://cafe.daum.net/edusalon).

Problem is... after we finally figured it all out, and got me a user name and password for my daum account and email, it's asking me to log in again to access the cafe... and it's not working. It seems to have stalled somehow?

It took us a long time to even figure out how to sign me up, considering I don't speak Korean well, and her English is almost non-existent. Plus it wasn't taking a foreigner ID card for a while, but apparently there is a way around that, which she figured out.

Anyone know why the cafe thing isn't working, and why they keep asking for my ARC number and name, after already loggin into daum?

I think you have to use your daum id to sign up individually for each cafe that you want to be part of (회원가입). This will give you access to the information in the cafe.
