I think that 'are learning' should be changed to 'learn' because the verb, learn, cannot be used as the 'be verb-ing' form.
Can you tell me whether I am wrong or not and why?

Both are correct and are versions of the present tense. |

The verb "learn" is often used in a continuous form. I've been learning a lot from this book. I hope my students are learning a lot in my classes. |
