Mike is a very smart student. He somehow seems to know how to get around problems.
May I say "He somewhat seems to know how to get around problems" instead of somehow?

Somehow = in some way. Somewhat = to some extent. So no, you wouldn't want to substitute somewhat into your sentence, where somehow works fine. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
