Hello everybody Very Happy

I already ask this question in the "Making friends" part of this forum, and I get the advise to ask my question here in the help center.

The point is I have some problems with grammar, tenses and conjunctions.
I would be very glad if somebody would give my some lessons or hints for easy remembering.

Most problems I have with the conjuctions. I never know which conjunction I have to use (ON, AT, BY, FOR, TO...). Are their special rules to see when to use this or that conjuction???

In case of the tenses I don't follow a fixed rule. Most time I trust my feelings to use the right one. But I think their must be a lot of signalwords/keywords... Do you have some hints for me???

Best regards,
LeBron

Hello again,

here are some examples, where you can see my problems:

1. Yesterday I was at or in school.
2. Yesterday I was at or on work.
3. The dinner is fallen down. Now everything is on or at the floor.

If I get more ideas, I will write it down here.

Greetings,
LeBron

At, by, for, etc. are not conjunctions, but prepositions. They tell the relationship between nouns. I was standing by (next to) the table. We found the yogurt in the supermarket.

Whatever your native language is, you have some way to express the same things, so I suggest checking a bilingual dictionary for the meanings, then practice saying things in English using the different prepositions until they are familiar.
