There was a notice on which was written "Thank you for your respect for others' privacy"---- a polite warning to keep people away from nosing into others' _______(money matters are regarded as privacy in Western countries).
A. pockets B. savings C. needs D. affairs
Another question is as follows:
While Emerson spread newspapers on the kitchen floor. I gather Larry's dress and everyday shoes; my heels and my flats, the children's dirty dress shoes.
According to its translation, the two "dress" in the sentence means "shoes". But I couldn't find this meaning in any dictionary. Could you tell me its real meaning in this context?
Thanks |

The first one would be "affairs" meaning other peoples' business
Dress shoes are ones which you wear for special occasions, parties, formal functions.
Everyday shoes are ones which are more casual that you might wear to school or work. |
