Is the `there�absolutely necessary: On his yacht were 18 people. On his yacht there were 18 people. Please tell me.

Hi, No, it is not absolutely necessary. Either would be fine. I would put a comma after "yacht" in the second sentence. --lotus _________________ War does not make one great --Yoda
