1. I bet he doesn't come.
2. I believe he will not come.
I understand the usage of #2.
Even though both expressions imply future action, why only #1 is using the present tense.
The following are other examples.
I bet he fails
I bet I fail.
I bet he says No. |

I bet he doesn't come.
I bet he fails
I bet I fail.
I bet he says No.
If I am OK with saying these, I will remember them. |

I don't think it's wrong, but I think it would sound better if you said it like this:
I bet he won't come
I bet he'll fail _________________ Learn English at Open English |
